Dewalt and Dini founded Dalwind Farms together with the support of their families in the Netherlands and South Africa. Both come from long family lines of farmers and are now the first generation proudly farming in Canada.
Their backgrounds shaped a practical, hands-on approach to agriculture; one that values common sense, adaptability, and working with and for nature rather than against it. Experience across different countries and farming systems continues to influence how Dalwind operates today.
The name Dalwind comes from a combination of their first names and can be translated as “valley wind.” It reflects movement, balance, and the idea of working within the landscape.

Dini holds a Master’s degree in Biosystems Engineering and has a wide range of experience across the agricultural sector. Her background includes agricultural software test engineering, product research, and multiple seasons herding goats in Saskatchewan. She now brings those skills together in Alberta, offering targeted grazing services for vegetation and land management.
Dewalt holds a degree in Small Ruminants with a specialization in Land Management. He has a lifetime of hands-on experience, spending countless hours on equipment and in the field. While working in the U.S., he obtained his spray license and Class 1 license, and he also has experience managing dairy, cattle and grain farms. His broad, practical skill set is a cornerstone of Dalwind Farms today. If you’re looking for farm relief services or other contract work, Dewalt is your guy.
